Twenty Nepali Entrepreneurs Pitch Ventures to Investors in Kathmandu

Twenty Nepali entrepreneurs have completed a three-day business accelerator in Kathmandu, pitching their ventures to investors, business leaders and members of the entrepreneurial community.

The entrepreneurs were selected from more than 200 participants who took part in workshops held in seven cities across Nepal.

The final-stage programme focused on helping the founders strengthen their businesses, with sessions covering investment readiness, export potential, artificial intelligence, marketing and strategic communication.

The entrepreneurs pitched their businesses during an investment and global market-focused session, where they received feedback on innovation, scalability, market opportunities and export readiness.

They also displayed their products and services at a “Main Street” showcase, allowing them to interact with investors, business leaders, AmCham Nepal and other American business representatives.

“By investing in emerging entrepreneurs with strong ideas, encouraging innovation, and building connections between founders, industry leaders, and investors, we are advancing commercial diplomacy through people-to-people engagement and private-sector collaboration,” said Mike Harker, Public Affairs Chief at the US Embassy in Nepal.

The accelerator was the concluding phase of the US Embassy’s Entrepreneurship Skill Development Program, which also included regional workshops and virtual masterclasses on areas including legal compliance, export readiness, AI-enabled growth and digital marketing.

The programme was supported by the US Embassy Nepal and implemented by the International Development Institute (IDI) in partnership with Aadyanta Advisory.

The 20 participating businesses span agriculture and agri-processing, food and beverage, technology, manufacturing, creative industries, consulting, digital services, natural products, handicrafts, cooperatives and social enterprise.
