Government Approves Nine Bills to be Tabled in Federal Parliament

The government has approved the submission of nine different bills to the Federal Parliament.

The meeting of the council of ministers today in Singha Durbar decided to present bills amending the Act on remuneration, service conditions, and facilities of officials of constitutional bodies (1996), revising and consolidating laws related to mines and minerals, introducing provisions for the control of infectious animal diseases, and amending the Passport Act, 2019.

The meeting also endorsed the submission of the Human Trafficking and Transportation (Control) First Amendment Bill, the Child Labor (Prohibition and Regulation) Bill, a bill concerning obligations of domestic air services, an amendment to the Reconciliation Act, 2011, and an amendment to the Employees Provident Fund Act, 1962.

In addition, the Cabinet decided that the Director General of the Department of Money Laundering Investigation, or an officer authorized by him, will serve as the investigating authority for foreign exchange-related offenses.

It also nominated Khateraj Dahal of Sindhuli as a member of the Problematic Cooperatives Management Committee. Government spokesperson and Minister for Education and Sports, Sasmit Pokharel, provided this information.

According to him, the meeting further approved the Technical Education and Vocational Training Council (Sixth Amendment) Regulations, 2026.
