Government Withdraws 3% Equity Tax on Private Education and Health Sectors

The government has decided to remove 3% equity tax on the private education and health systems. Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen) has announced the decision through his official social media page, stating that, following consultations with Finance Minister Dr. Swornim Wagle, the previously proposed tax has been withdrawn.

PM Shah has said that the government has decided not to implement the tax to address the concerns raised by the public. In his post, he has emphasized that the government is built on the public’s trust and expectations.

“Our aim is to maintain and ensure all citizens experience a quality life”, he stated.
