RSP Chair Lamichhane Says India Visit Centers on Development, Not Politics

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has said his visit to India is centered on Nepal’s development and prosperity rather than personal or party interests.
Speaking at an event in New Delhi, Lamichhane said his objective was to create an environment for dialogue and cooperation aimed at advancing Nepal toward a new phase of economic growth.
Lamichhane noted that while Nepal has long aspired to prosperity, it has not achieved expected progress, adding that regional cooperation and knowledge-sharing are now essential to accelerate development.
He said his engagements in India are intended to strengthen diplomatic and institutional dialogue to build a shared foundation for economic progress, stressing that the visit is not driven by personal or political gain.
Acknowledging that the RSP-led government is still in its early phase, he said there is much work ahead and reiterated a commitment to move away from patronage-based politics toward results-oriented governance.
