208 Rescued From Flood-Hit Hydropower Tunnel in Nepal

Nepal Army helicopters have rescued 208 people, including 43 foreign nationals, from a tunnel at the Trishuli-3 hydropower project in flood-hit Rasuwa district, the army said.
The group includes 38 Chinese and five Indian nationals. Rescue teams are using drilling equipment and other tools to locate and reach areas outside the tunnel.
More than 7,000 Nepal Army personnel are deployed across Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading districts, supporting search and rescue operations, emergency medical treatment and the management of recovered bodies. (RSS)
