205 Nutrition Facilities Close as Somalia Faces Deepening Aid Crisis

UNICEF says global aid cuts have forced 205 nutrition facilities to close in Somalia, while severe acute malnutrition admissions have risen 32% in the first six months of 2026.

Elder said funding cuts have reduced health and nutrition coverage by 30%, with as many as 618 health facilities at risk of closure nationwide.
