Zelenskyy Announces New Diplomatic Push to Secure Just and Lasting Peace

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that consultations with Ukraine’s partners on the steps needed to end the war would take place in the coming days.
Speaking on the matter, he confirmed that he had signed the decree approving the composition of Ukraine’s delegation and had authorized all the relevant directives.
The President stressed the importance of the representatives, stating that they knew how to defend Ukraine’s national interests and exactly what must be done to prevent Russia from launching a “third invasion,” or another strike against Ukraine. He added that Russia had repeatedly committed crimes against the Ukrainian people and against other nations in the past.
Zelenskyy then broadened the scope of the discussion, emphasizing that the current situation was about much more than any points in any document. He maintained that Ukraine and the world must ensure that the principle of rewarding or forgiving crimes against people, humanity, states, and nations did not prevail anywhere in Europe or globally.
He concluded by asserting that real peace was always built on guaranteed security and justice. He made it clear that this was not only his personal feeling but also the sentiment of millions of Ukrainian people and the vast majority of people around the world. (RSS/AP)
