Writ Petition Related to RSP Chair to Be Heard on Tuesday

Hearing on the writ petition filed at the Supreme Court against the decision of the Office of the Attorney General to amend and withdraw the organized crime and money laundering cases against Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane will continue on Tuesday.

Hearing was postponed for tomorrow after it was not held today. The court spokesperson Ajun Prasad Koirala shared that the hearing was postponed to Tuesday after the division bench of Justices Binod Sharma and Abdul Aziz Musalman did not hold the hearing today.

Earlier, a joint bench of Supreme Court Justices Sapana Pradhan Malla and Shrikant Poudel had ordered the petition to be listed for regular hearing.

Attorney General Sabita Bhandari Baral had decided to withdraw the money laundering and organized crime cases filed against Lamichhane.

Advocates Yubaraj Poudel, Dinesh Tripathi and Abhas Regmi had filed separate writ petitions in the Supreme Court challenging the decision. (RSS)
