UML Leader Bishnu Poudel Arrested

CPN-UML Vice Chair Bishnu Paudel has been arrested in Surkhet in connection with a money laundering case.

Paudel was taken into custody from a party programme being held at the assembly hall of a lcoal Hotel in Birendranagar Municipality, where the UML was conducting a post-election review and collecting suggestions for party restructuring.

According to the District Police Office, Surkhet, a special team of 10 officers led by Superintendent of Police Thakur Prasad Paudel carried out the arrest. Police said Paudel has been taken from Surkhet to Nepalgunj as part of preparations to transport him to Kathmandu for further legal proceedings.
