The Cricket Craze at NPL-2 (Photo Feature)

The second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL-2)- a franchise-based Twenty20 cricket tournament, commenced on Monday. It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Sushila Karki in a grand ceremony held at the Kirtipur-based TU cricket ground.

During the occasion, a flower shower from helicopter was observed as the league inaugurated.

In the opening match between defending champion Janakpur Bolts and Kathmandu Gurkhas, a massive crowd was present in the ground- which features a newly constructed parapet and floodlights.

Janakpur Bolts was defeated by Kathmandu Gorkhas in the match.
