Thapa Selected as UML Parliamentary Party Leader

Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ has been selected as the parliamentary party leader of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML).
He was elected unopposed following a meeting held at the party’s central office in Chyasal, Lalitpur. Although MP Suhang Nembang had expressed interest in the position, Thapa was chosen unanimously, according to UML lawmaker Ain Bahadur Mahar.
The UML has 25 members in the House of Representatives.
