Teachers Protest Over School Education Bill Endorsement
Teachers from across the country gathered in federal Capital , hold peaceful protests demand legal guarantees for professional rights, job security, and career development

As the government prepares to launch enrollment campaigns for the new academic session starting in mid-April, teachers from across Nepal have gathered in Kathmandu for a nationwide protest.
Their movement, which began a week ago comes at a critical time when schools are expected to finalize results, distribute books, and begin new student admissions.
The Nepal Teachers’ Federation has urged educators to abstain from all academic duties, including evaluations, training, and educational activities, pressuring the government to address concerns over the pending School Education Bill.
With the bill currently under discussion in the House Education Committee, teachers are demanding legal guarantees for professional rights, job security, and career development.
The Ministry of Education has called on teachers to return to classrooms, warning that prolonged disruption could severely impact students and schools.
