Tanahu Bus Accident: Two Passengers Die, Nine Receive Severe Injury

Two passengers died and seven others received severe injury in a bus accident that took place at Shera of Shuklagandaki Municipality-7 in Tanahu along the Prithvi Highway on Friday.

According to District Police Office’s Deputy Superintendent of Police, Shrawan Kumar BK, the bus (Ga 2 Kha 1836) overturned on the road as it was en route to Bhairahawa from Pokhara after the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.

Twenty-seven persons were referred to the Pokhara-based Manipal Teaching Hospital and the Annapurna Hospital after initial treatment at the Belchautara-based GP Koirala National Centre for Respiratory Diseases in Shuklagandaki-5. Three are being treated in the Centre while one with minor injuries has been sent to home. (RSS)
