SDC Assistant Director Wicki Calls on CM Karki

Assistant Director of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) in Nepal, Arno Wicki, paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister of Koshi Province, Hikmat Kumar Karki, on Monday.

Issues of bilateral cooperation and Swiss assistance to the enforcement of federalism in Nepal were discussed during the meeting, according to CM Karki’s secretariat.

CM Karki appreciated the Swiss assistance in implementation of federalism in Nepal. The Swiss government has extended significant support to Nepal’s bid to peace, prosperity and development, CM Karki said, adding that climate change is an equally important area which warrants collaboration.

Assistant Director Wicki reciprocated that Koshi Province has a huge potential in terms of tourism and development. Collective efforts could enhance Nepal’s democratic journey, he suggested. (RSS)
