RSP Wins 54 of Declared Seats

Vote counting is ongoing for Thursday’s House of Representatives elections.
So far, results have been announced for 64 constituencies, with the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) winning in 52 and leading in 64 constituencies.
RSP winners include Sagar Bhusal (Parbat), Rukesh Ranjit (Bhaktapur-1), Ravi Lamichhane (Chitwan-2), Santosh Rajbanshi (Morang-4), Rubina Acharya (Morang-6) and Manisha Jha (Dhanusha-3), among others in Kathmandu, Kaski, Rupandehi and Banke districts.
The Nepali Congress has won 9 seats, including Tek Bahadur Gurung (Manang-1), Yogesh Gauchan Thakali (Mustang-1), Santosh Subba (Terhathum-1) and Basana Thapa (Dailekh-1) and is leading in 7 others.
The CPN-UML has won 2 seats and is leading in 5, while the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has won 2 constituencies, including Pushpa Kamal Dahal from Rukum East and Mahendra Bahadur Shahi from Kalikot, and is leading in 4 more
Other parties and independents leading include the Nepal Communist Party (Mahabir Pun), Shram Sanskriti Party, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party and independent candidates.
Counting continues across the country.
