President Paudel Holding Discussion With Political Party Leaders

Nepal’s President Ram Chandra Paudel is scheduled to meet with leaders of political parties represented in the dissolved House of Representatives today. The discussions is to be focused on the upcoming elections and other pertinent matters.

The meeting marks the first set of consultations between President Paudel and party leaders since the Gen-Z protests on September 8 and 9 that led to the formation of new government and the dissolution of the House of Representatives. Meeting also comes at a time when the new government mandated to fresh Parliamentary elections has already set the date for March 5, 2026.

Prime Minister Sushila Karki and leaders of political parties next in line after the chairpersons are to attend the meeting.
