NPL II: Lumbini Lions Defend 134 to Enter Final

Lumbini Lions have entered the final of Nepal Premier League NPL season two by defending a lowly total of 134 runs by 40 runs in the second qualifier.
Put to bat first by Biratnagar, Lumbini amassed 134 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the turning tack at the TU Cricket Stadium.
D’Arcy Short with 45 runs was the top scorer while skipper Rohit Poudel made 34 valuable runs for the Lions that had finished last in the first edition.
IN Subash Bhandari and Pratish GC took three wickets each for Biratnagar.
In reply under the lights, Biratnagar had a disastrous start losing three wickets for 6 runs.
Lumbini bowlers did not allow the Biratnagar batters to consolidate then after eventually bowling out for 94 runs.
Young leg spinner Tilak Bhandari took three wickets for Lumbini. Lumbini will face Sudurpaschim Royals in the final scheduled for Saturday.
