NEPSE Index Falls by 71 Points

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index sharply fell today, the first trading day after the formation of the new government. It has fallen by 71.05 points (2.40 per cent) and closed at 2879.11 points.
A total of 35.248 million shares of 333 companies were bought and sold, making the total turnover of Rs 15.3 billion during the day.
All sub-indices ended in negative territory. Price of shares of 10 companies increased while price of other 255 companies declined.
Shares of Reliance Spinning Mills Limited, Super Khudi Hydropower Limited and Ridge Line Hydropower Energy Limited hit the positive circuit.
Similarly, share of Unique Nepal Microfinance Limited declined by 6.17 per cent. (RSS)
