Nepal’s Supreme Court Halts Decision to Recall Ambassadors

Nepal’s Supreme Court has, for the moment, halted government’s decision to recall Nepali ambassadors to different countries.

The Apex Court today issued an interim order not to immediately implement the decision of the interim government to recall ambassadors.

A joint bench of Justices Sharanga Subedi and Shrikant Poudel issued the interim order not to implement the government’s decision to recall ambassadors.

Earlier, a single bench of Justice Binod Sharma had sought a written response on the matter.

The court issued an interim order today after discussions between both parties and asked not to implement the decision to recall the ambassadors.

The government had decided to recall 11 ambassadors and asked them to return by November 6. (RSS)
