Nepal’s ‘A’ Division Clubs Demand One- door Work Permits For Foreign Players
Nepal’s top-tier clubs have come up together to demand one-door work permits for foreign players playing in Nepal’s national league. They also asked for additional team logistics and match operation cost from Nepal’s football governing body -All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).
Organization a joint press meet at Lalitpur on Saturday, ‘A’ division clubs vying for the 46th edition of Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League slated for 24 December 2025, clubs say there want increased cost based on international standard.
Other demands include hike in prize money, finalizing sponsors and co-sponsors 10 months before the league, club registration before 6 months, unveiling of tie-sheet before 2 months, among others.
Clubs also demanded strong monitoring of possible match-fixing and other anomalies. The latest edition of the prestigious national football league was held in June 2023.
