Nepal Beats Qatar in Thrilling Super Six Match

Nepal defeated Qatar by five runs in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia and East Asia Pacific (EAP) Qualifier Super Six match in Al Amerat, Oman.
Chasing the target of 148, Qatar was bowled out for 142 in 19.5 overs. Sandeep Lamichhane took five wickets for just 18 runs earning him the player of the match.
Sandeep picked up two wickets in the final over, while Qatar needed 10 runs to win. Nadan Yadav and Dipendra Singh Airee took two and one wickets respectively.
Earlier, Nepal thrashed United Arab Emirates by one run in the first match of the Super Six round held on Sunday. Nepal had secured its place in the Super Six round as the winner of Group ‘B’.
In the group stage, Nepal defeated Kuwait and Japan. The Nepali team comprises captain Rohit Kumar Paudel along with Dipendra Singh Airee, Ashif Sheikh, Kushal Bhurtel, Sandeep Jora, Kushal Malla, Gulshan Kumar Jha, Sompal Kami, Nandan Yadav, Mohammad Adil Alam,and Sandeep Lamichhane.
