Nepal Suffers 3-0 Defeat Against Iran
Nepal suffered a 3-0 defeat against Iran in the tri-nation international tournament after conceding all goals in the first 12 minutes of the second half.
On Friday, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong, India, those three goals crowned Iran as the champion. No more goals were scored by either team after that. In their first match, Iran had secured a 2–0 victory over India.
The first half ended goalless, although Iran created two major goal threats.
In the fourth minute of the second half, substitute forward Sara Didar gave Iran the breakthrough. She made excellent use of a long-distance pass from goalkeeper Raha Yazdani.
Before beating Anjila with a low shot, she won a one-on-one battle against Nepal’s center-back Bimala BK.

Just three minutes after scoring the first goal, Iran doubled their lead, with Sara once again playing a key role.
Near the penalty box, she was fouled by Nepal’s left-back Hirakumari Bhujel. The resulting free kick from the right side was directly converted into a goal by forward and captain Zahra Ghanbari.
In the 57th minute, midfielder Shabnam Beheshti scored a sensational goal from a pass by defender Melika Motavallitaher.

In the 78th minute, Nepal’s midfielder Preeti Rai delivered a cross that forward Rashmikumari Ghising headed toward goal, but Iran’s goalkeeper Raha Yazdani made the save.
Nepal is scheduled to play its second match against host team India on Monday.
