Nepal Sets 123-Run Target for Thailand

Nepal has set a target of 123 runs for Thailand in ongoing Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifiers.
Battimg first, Nepal scored 122 runs in 20 overs. The match marks Nepal’s opening game of the tournament against Thailand in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2026, which is being hosted by Nepal for the first time.
At the Tribhuvan International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Thailand won the toss and chose to bowl first, inviting Nepal to bat first.
It may be noted that the Nepali women’s team has reached the global qualifiers for the first time after the Asia qualifier.
The next target is to play in the Women’s World Cup.
In Group B of the tournament, Nepal will play alongside Thailand, the Netherlands, Zimbabwe and Scotland.
If the Nepali team finishes in the top three in the group stage, it will advance to the Super Six round, after which it must finish in the top four. The top four teams will qualify for the World Cup.
