Nepal Secured a 37-Run Victory Against UAE

Host nation Nepal secured a 37-run victory in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2.

Chasing a target of 201, the UAE were bowled out for 163 runs in 48.2 overs. Karan KC delivered an outstanding bowling performance, taking 4 wickets for just 19 runs.

Sompal Kami and Sandeep Lamichhane also contributed with two wickets each.

Earlier, after losing the toss, Nepal were put in to bat and posted 200 runs in 48.2 overs, losing all 10 wickets.

Vice-captain Dipendra Singh Airee led the innings with a solid half-century, scoring 75 runs. Opener Kushal Bhurtel added 24 runs.

For the UAE, Aayan Kumar and Junaid Siddique picked up three wickets each.

In the standings, Nepal sit seventh with 14 points, while the UAE are eighth with 10 points. Nepal have played 21 matches, registering 6 wins and 13 losses.

Nepal will next face Oman on the 16th of this month.

They will play the UAE twice again .

After the league stage concludes, the top two teams will compete in the final for the title.
