Nepal Responds to US-Venezuela Issue, Urges Peaceful Resolution

The Government of Nepal has responded to the incident and ongoing tensions between the United States of America and Venezuela. In a press release issued by the ministry foreign affairs on Wednesday, Nepal has called upon all parties concerned to exercise maximum restraint and to avoid actions that may further escalate situation.

Nepal has emphasized that disputes should be resolved peacefully through dialogue, diplomacy and mutual understanding.

Similarly, the government has also reaffirmed its firm respect and commitment to the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of states, as enshrined in Charter of the United Nations.

“Nepal underscores the importance of fully respecting the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of states, as enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations”, the statement said.
