31 Organizations Accredited as Observers for 2026 Election

Nepal’s Election Commission has granted permission to a total of 27 national and four international organizations to observe the House of Representatives elections, 2026.

The commission gave the accreditation in accordance with the Election Observation Guidelines, 2079.

The approved national observers include prominent civil society, human rights, governance, youth, women’s rights and media organizations.

The Commission had on 28th Octoberr 11, 2025 called for application for organizations interested in election observation following which a total of 49 applications were received including five international organizations.

After reviewing the applications against the criteria and procedures set out in the Election Observation Guidelines, the Commission approved the organizations that met all requirements.

The Election Commission stated that organizations that failed to submit the complete set of required documents have been formally notified and given five additional days to provide the necessary materials.

Joint Secretary and Spokesperson of the Election Commission of Nepal Narayan Prasad Bhattarai issued the notice .
