Nepal Forms Focal Unit to Aid Foreign Investors

Nepal’s Ministry of Finance has set up a dedicated Focal Unit to strengthen coordination with foreign investors and international development finance institutions.
The new unit operates under the Ministry’s International Economic Relations Division.
According to the Ministry, the unit will serve as a central mechanism to enhance collaboration between various government agencies involved in foreign investment processes.
It aims to ensure smoother communication and faster decision-making across ministries and relevant bodies.
Finance Ministry spokesperson Tanka Prasad Pandey said the unit will facilitate matters directly linked to the Ministry including banking, revenue, and other regulatory concerns by offering a single point of coordination for foreign investors.
Officials expect the Focal Unit to play a key role in removing procedural bottlenecks, improving service delivery, and helping create a more conducive environment for investment inflows into Nepal. Agencies
