Nepal ‘A’ Secure First Top End T20 Win, Defeat Hobart by 39 Runs

Nepal ‘A’ have secured their first victory in the ongoing Top End T20 tournament in Australia, defeating the Hobart Hurricanes ‘A’ by 39 runs today.
Chasing a target of 155 runs, Hobart Hurricanes ‘A’ were bowled out for 115 runs in 18.3 overs.
For Nepal ‘A’, Narayan Joshi took three wickets, while Sahab Alam and Pawan Sarraf claimed two wickets each. Bipin Khatri took one wicket. Nitesh Samuel was Hobart Hurricanes ‘A’s top scorer with 37 runs.
After winning the toss, Hobart Hurricanes ‘A’ elected to field. Nepal ‘A’ scored 154 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Kushal Bhurtel top-scored with 39 runs off 34 balls, including six fours. Mayank Yadav scored 31 off 25 balls with four fours, while Anil Sah made 28 off 21 balls, including two sixes and a four. Lokesh Bam contributed 20 runs off 16 balls, with one six and one four.
Nepal ‘A’ had struggled with both batting and bowling in their previous two matches. They scored only 99 runs in a nine-wicket defeat to the Bangladesh High Performance Team.
In their opening match, Nepal ‘A’ lost to NT Strike by eight wickets, scoring 122 runs.
With this victory, Nepal ‘A’ have moved up to seventh place with two points in the nine-team tournament.
