‘National Service Corps Bill, 2083’ Passed by House of Representatives

The ‘National Service Corps Bill, 2083’ was passed by today’s meeting of the House of Representatives. A proposal seeking approval of the Bill presented by Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam, on behalf of the Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, was passed unanimously.

Presenting the bill, Minister Gautam noted that extensive discussions regarding the legislation had previously taken place in the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee. Mentioning that specific criteria have been established for students wishing to undergo the training, she highlighted that the bill includes provisions prioritizing training opportunities for students from remote and inaccessible areas.

Earlier, lawmakers had participated in the deliberations on the bill and expressed their respective views. The next meeting of the House of Representatives is scheduled for tomorrow at 1:00 PM. (RSS)
