NA Members Demand Stern Action Against the Guilty in Jitpur Incident
National Assembly (NA) members have demanded action against the guilty, expressing sorrow over murder of a three-year-old Garima Chaudhary of Jitpur Simara sub-metropolis-1 after rape.
Speaking in zero hour of the meeting of the upper house of the Federal Parliament today, they stressed that violence against children and women should be controlled, children’s safety should be ensured and government and security bodies should be serious towards such incidents.
Puja Chaudhary asked the government to stop violence against children and women and ensure girl’s safety, demanding action against those involved in rape and murder of Garima. Saying the security bodies were not serious towards the incident of missing of the child, Renu Chand drew the attention of the government and security bodies and demanded stern action against the guilty.
Similarly, Manrupa Sharma demanded the government to repatriate the body of Narayan Sarki of Parbat, who died in Dubai in course of foreign employment, to Nepal immediately and provide compensation to family.

Likewise, Rukmini Koirala suggested the government to carryout activities in order to provide appropriate price to farmers for their agro produces, ensure security to women and employment to youths. Drawing the attention of the government towards losses caused by flood and landslide in Rolpa and Bajura, Krishna Bahadur Rokaya asked the government to make arrangement of relief to victim families by evaluating damages.
Ghana Shyam Rijal drew the government’s attention towards peaceful protest and agitation launched by Dipa Nepali with slogan ‘ Government, is the room empty’ and suggested to resolve problems through talks.
Similarly, Padam Bahadur Pariyar demanded the government to fully implement the agreement signed with family of Ganesh Nepali, who died in course of treatment after self-immolation attempt at Department of Passport, and declare Ganesh as martyr.
Bishnu Kumari Sapkota asked the government to immediately provide relief to families displace by landslide at Thabang of Rolpa and stern action against guilty of rape and murder case of Garima.
Expressing dissatisfaction towards increasing number of staffs at personal secretariat of ministers, Bishnu Bahadur Bishwokarma demanded to cut the number. (RSS)
