Mist to Persist Across Nepal’s Terai Region

Nepal is currently experiencing partial influence from westerly winds, along with a low-pressure system over the southwest Bay of Bengal, affecting weather conditions across different regions of the country.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, partial cloudiness has been observed in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, which cover eastern, southern and central parts of Nepal. In contrast, weather conditions remain mainly clear in the hilly and mountainous regions of western and far-western Nepal.
The Weather Forecasting Division has reported the persistence of mist and fog in the Terai plains Nepal’s southern lowland belt specially in Koshi, Madhesh and Lumbini provinces, with light mist in a few other Terai areas. Most parts of the Terai are expected to experience mist or fog until noon.
For the afternoon, meteorologists forecast partial cloud cover in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, while the hilly and mountainous areas, including central and western highlands, are expected to remain mostly fair and clear.
Tonight, mist is likely to persist in some Terai areas, while overall weather conditions will remain stable in the hill and mountain regions across the country.
