Middle East Crisis Hits Nepal: Half-Filled LPG Cylinders From Friday

Nepal Oil corporation has decided to distribute half-filled LPG Gas cylinders starting tomorrow due to a possible shortage caused by the ongoing West Asia (Middle East) crisis.

The corporation has introduced this measure noticing that many customers have been stockpiling multiple cylinders, which could worsen the shortage.

Starting Friday, customers will be able to purchase 7.1 kg of LPG gas for NRs. 955 instead of a full cylinder.

According to the corporation, this step has been taken to manage supply and ensure that more households get access during shortage.

The ongoing conflicts in West Asia have affected fuel production and distribution worldwide, which is expected to impact fuel supply in Nepal
