Kathmandu Authorities Rally Citizens for Road Safety Awarenes
Traffic Safety Week and the Special Accident Prevention Campaign have officially begun in Kathmandu with a morning rally organized by the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office.
The rally, held under the slogan “Identifying a responsible citizen and reducing road accidents is everyone’s responsibility,” aimed to raise public awareness about road safety and promote measures to reduce traffic accidents.
The event saw participation from a wide range of officials, including members of the Traffic Police, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army, Kathmandu Metropolitan Police and municipal police from Lalitpur and Bhaktapur.
Representatives from other organizations also joined the campaign to emphasize the collective effort needed to improve road safety.
The campaign reflects Nepal’s ongoing commitment to enhancing traffic management, promoting responsible driving, and ensuring the safety of all road users.
