Iran Attacks on U.S. Air Bases Across Gulf in Retaliation

Iran has launched retaliatory missile strikes targeting U.S. military bases in the Gulf region following coordinated U.S. and Israeli operations inside Iran.

Iranian forces reportedly targeted the Al Udeid Air Base in Doha, the Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates, the Naval Support Activity Bahrain in Bahrain, and additional U.S. military facilities in the region.

Explosions were heard in multiple Gulf cities as air defense systems engaged incoming missiles.

Several countries temporarily closed airspace, forcing commercial flights to reroute across the region.

Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces confirmed Iranian retaliatory action after Israeli and U.S. strikes hit targets inside Tehran and other Iranian cities.

Smoke was seen rising over parts of the capital.

U.S. President Donald Trump urged Iranians to “take over” their government, saying it may be their “only chance for generations,” while increasing pressure on Tehran over nuclear negotiations. (Agencies)
