Indian Minister Yadav Calls on PM Oli

Indian Minister for Environment, Forests, and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. During the meeting at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar, Minister Yadav expressed gratitude for Nepal’s invitation to the Sagarmatha Dialogue program. He emphasized that Sagarmatha, as the “Roof of the World,” requires global attention for its protection.
Prime Minister Oli thanked Minister Yadav for his participation in the dialogue and for delivering a meaningful address at the inaugural session. He proposed that Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and other regional countries collaborate to organize conferences focusing on issues such as Himalayan conservation and the environmental impact of smoke from burned crops.

The meeting was also attended by Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava; Prime Minister Oli’s Chief Advisor, Bishnu Prasad Rimal; Economic Development Advisor Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada; and officials from Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. (RSS)
