In response to media queries regarding the elections, the official spokesperson for India’s Ministry of External Affairs, Randhir Jaiswal, congratulated Nepal’s leadership and people for holding the polls under challenging circumstances.
“We congratulate Prime Minister Sushila Karki, the Government, and the people of Nepal, as well as various stakeholders, for successfully holding these polls, which took place against the backdrop of exceptional circumstances last year,” Jaiswal said.

He noted that India has consistently supported peace, progress, and stability in Nepal. In line with this commitment, India also provided logistical supplies at the request of the Government of Nepal to assist in the conduct of the elections.
