HoR Meeting Scheduled for Today, Four Bills to be Tabled

The House of Representatives (HoR) is meeting today. The meeting, which is set to take place at 1:00 PM at Singha Durbar, has an agenda that includes the presentation of four distinct bills.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, during today’s session, the relevant ministers are anticipated to address inquiries concerning the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Youth, Labour, and Employment. In addition, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle will introduce the ‘Employees Provident Fund (10th Amendment) Bill, 2083.’

Similarly, Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Sovita Gautam will present the ‘Reconciliation (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083.’ Minister for Youth, Labour, and Employment Ramji Yadav will also present the ‘Child Labour (Prohibition and Regularization) Bill, 2083.’

Furthermore, in the meeting, on behalf of Prime Minister Balendra Shah, Law Minister Gautam will propose a discussion on the ‘Remuneration, Service Conditions, and Benefits of Officials of Constitutional Bodies (First Amendment) Bill, 2083.’

On behalf of Prime Minister Shah, Minister Gautam will also propose the passage of the ‘Bill to Revive the Previous Arrangement of the Nepal Special Service Act, 2042, 2083.’ Additionally, today will see meetings of four different parliamentary committees.

According to the schedule, the Infrastructure Development Committee, the Committee on Education, Health and Information Technology, the Committee on Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance, and the Committee on Federalism Strengthening and National Concerns will all convene.

The Infrastructure Development Committee will meet at 10:00 AM to discuss the report from the Subcommittee for the Study of National Pride Projects.
