HoR Elections: One Original Copy Out of Five Documents Required for Voting

The Election Commission (EC) has made it clear that voters can cast a vote for the House of Representatives election on Thursday by carrying the voter ID card or any of the five alternative documents.

In the absence of the voter ID card, voters may cast their vote by providing the original copy of either the Nepali citizenship certificate, driving license, National ID card, or passport.

If these alternate documents are not available at hand, the original copy of a land ownership certificate will be permitted, stated EC Joint Spokesperson Kul Bahadur GC.

For the HoR elections scheduled for tomorrow, there will be 23,112 polling centers in 10,967 polling stations including 143 temporary polling stations. The EC has mentioned that there are 18,903,689 eligible voters to cast their votes. (RSS)
