Gurung Returns as Home Minister, Pun Sworn in as Innovation Minister

Prime Minister Balendra Shah Balen expanded his Cabinet on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister reappointed Sudan Gurung as Minister of Home Affairs and Mahabir Pun as Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation.

Both ministers took the oath of office and secrecy at a ceremony held at the Presidential House, Shital Niwas. President Ramchandra Poudel administered the oath to the newly appointed ministers.

Gurung has been appointed Home Minister for the second time. He had resigned following the allegations of money laundering. However, probe committee later cleared him of all charges, paving the way for this reappointment.
