Gen-Z Voices Push for Good Governance in Meeting with PM Karki

Representatives of Nepal’s Generation Z raised strong calls for good governance during a meeting convened by Prime Minister Sushila Karki with major political parties at Baluwatar on Wednesday.

The youth representatives said that while elections are an important democratic process, their agenda extends beyond the ballot box, emphasizing the need for accountability, transparency, and reform.

They urged the government and political leaders to take decisive action against corruption, describing the fight against graft and impunity as their generation’s core demand.

The meeting, held as part of a tripartite dialogue between the government, political parties, and Gen-Z representatives, marked the first time that young delegates directly presented their views before party leaders.

Prime Minister Karki summoned the tripartite meeting aiming at building a climate of trust and cooperation ahead of the upcoming elections.
