Famous Bollywood Actor Dharmendra Dies at 89

Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra Deol passed away on Monday at the age of 89.

He had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on November 10. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his sorrow on Dharmendra’s demise, remembering the actor’s immense contributions to Bollywood and noting that his passing marks the end of an era.

Paying tribute to the actor, saying his passing “marks the end of an era in Indian cinema”, said Modi.

Prior to this, rumours about his death had gone viral.

He was visited by wife Hema Malini, son Sunny Deol and other family members; and some Bollywood actors, including Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan on Monday.

Dharmendra had worked in the Bollywood blockbuster Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Phool Aur Patthar etc. He is also known as “He-man” among his fans. Dharmendra is equally popular among Nepalis fans.
