EU Welcomes Nepal’s General Elections

The European Union has welcomed the holding of general elections in Nepal, praising the process as peaceful and orderly.

In a statement issued on March 5 by the spokesperson for EU Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, the EU congratulated Nepal’s interim government as well as the country’s electoral and security authorities for conducting the elections in a calm and organized manner.

The statement noted that the elections marked an important step in Nepal’s democratic process and reflected the efforts of institutions responsible for ensuring a smooth voting process.

The European Union also expressed its intention to continue strengthening its long-standing partnership with Nepal and to work together on shared priorities in the future.
