Education Minister Pant Takes Oath

President Ram Chandra Poudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed Minister of Education, Science, and Technology, Raghuji Pant. The special ceremony was held today at the President’s Office, attended by Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal, ministers, members of parliament, and heads of constitutional bodies.

Pant, a leader of the CPN-UML, was appointed as the Education Minister on Wednesday upon the recommendation of Prime Minister Oli. The previous Education Minister, Vidya Bhattarai, had resigned on Baisakh 8 (April 20) citing health reasons.

The newly appointed Minister Pant is a member of the House of Representatives through the proportional representation system.  (RSS)
