Chinese National Rescued Alive after 11 Days Trapped in Upper Trishuli-1 Hydropower Tunnel

A Chinese citizen has been rescued alive from the Upper Trishuli-1 Hydropower Project.

The Nepali Army and Korea’s disaster rescue team rescued the Chinese citizen today at 1:20pm from Audit-4 tunnel of the project, the Nepali Army said.

The hydropower project suffered significant damage due to the severe flood in Rasuwa’s Bhotekoshi River on August 26.
