Cabinet Recommends 13 Nepali Ambassadors for Appointment

The Council of Ministers has recommended individuals with expertise, academic and research backgrounds, leadership experience, and contributions in various fields to be appointed as ambassadors to 13 countries, including India, China, and the United States.

In the meeting held on Friday, the cabinet decided to recommend appointments of ambassadors to 13 different countries. Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal informed that distinguished individuals from diverse sectors have been recommended for ambassadorial positions.

The government will now forward the names of the proposed ambassadors to the parliamentary hearing committee.

After the hearings are completed, the government will send them for agreement (approval) from the respective countries. Once agreement is received, the President will formally appoint them as ambassadors.

1. Dr. Nishchalnath Pandey — India
2. Dr. Kalyanraj Sharma — China
3. Chiranjang Thapa — United States
4. Gaurav Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana — United Kingdom
5. Jigyan Kumar Thapa — Japan
6. Suresh Kumar Karna — Israel
7. Prapti Sherchan — Spain
8. Sharu Joshi — Germany
9. Dr. Padmakshi Rana — Oman
10. Chudamani Kharel — Malaysia
11. Prof. Dr. Sangam Shrestha — South Korea
12. Dr. Manchal Jha — Sri Lanka
13. Giribahadur Sunar — Saudi Arabia
