Both Houses of Federal Parliament Meeting Today

Both houses of the Federal Parliament will meet today. The House of Representatives, the lower house, will meet at 1pm in Singha Durbar. Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Sobita Gautam, will present the ‘Nepal Law Commission (First Amendment) Bill, 2083’ in the session.

Similarly, in the meeting, Minister Gautam will present a proposal seeking consideration on the ‘Mediation (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083’. According to the Federal Parliament, Minister for Law Gautam is scheduled to present in the HoR the ‘proposal regarding obtaining membership in the Council of Asian Legislative Institutions’.

NA to meet at 1:15pm The National Assembly, the upper house of the Federal Parliament is meeting at 1:15 pm today. The report of the Legislation Management Committee regarding the bill related to repealing the provisions of the ‘Nepal Special Service Act, 2042’ will be presented in the meeting.

The committee president, Krishna Bahadur Rokaya, is to present that report. Similarly, in the meeting, the National Assembly chairperson, Narayan Prasad Dahal, will provide details about the letter received from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers regarding the assignment of duties to the members of the Council of Ministers.

Meanwhile, the Finance Committee and the Industry, Commerce and Labor and Consumer Rights Committee also have convened their meeting today. (RSS)
