Authorities in Rasuwa issue alert for heavy rain forecast

The Rasuwa District Administration has issued a public alert after forecasts from both Nepal’s Department of Hydrology and Meteorology and Chinese authorities that has warned of continuous heavy rainfall in the coming days.

Locals have been urged to remain cautious especially for those living in the vicinity of rivers and streams.

Assistant Chief District Officer of Rasuwa Dhruba Prasad Adhikari stated that with the anticipated downpour water levels in rivers such as Bhotekoshi, Trishuli, Langtang and Chilime could rise increasing the risk of floods and landslides in the region
