At Least Seven Killed in Russian Strikes on Ukraine
Intense Russian drone and missile attacks on Ukraine have killed at least seven people, including two children, and injured 27 others, officials say. A kindergarten was struck in Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, while Kyiv also suffered widespread damage.
Hours before the attacks, US President Donald Trump announced that his planned summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Budapest had been shelved, calling it a “wasted meeting.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the strikes, saying they demonstrated that Moscow has not faced sufficient pressure to end its war.
The Kremlin has dismissed international calls for a ceasefire along the current front lines, maintaining its military operations in Ukraine.
The attacks come amid rising tensions and continued global scrutiny of Russia’s actions in the conflict. (Agencies)
