At Least Eight Killed in Kavre Bus Accident

At least eight people have been killed and 16 others got injured in a bus accident at Buchakot, Namobuddha Municipality‑2, Kavrepalanchowk this afternoon.

The bus, with registration number Ba 2 Kha 8398, was traveling from Banepa toward Roshi Rural Municipality when it veered off the road around 2:15 p.m. Friday and plunged nearly 200 meters down.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Bista of the District Police Office, Kavrepalanchok, the driver and 16 others were injured in the crash.

The injured are currently receiving treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital.
