ACC U 19 : Nepal Defeated by the UAE

Nepal was defeated by the UAE in the final match of the ACC Men’s U-19 Premier Cup Cricket, held in the United Arab Emirates.

The UAE won the championship title by 27 runs. Chasing a victory target of 148 runs, Nepal was restricted to 120 runs in 33.2 overs.

For Nepal, Captain Ashok Dhami scored the highest with 34 runs, while Ashish Luhar and Roshan Bishwokarma contributed 25 runs each. The UAE’s Yug Jai Sharma and Ali Asgar Shums took three wickets each.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first at the Karwan Cricket Ground in Ajman, the host UAE posted 147 runs in 45.5 overs, losing all wickets. Ahmed Khudadad top-scored with 71 runs.

For Nepal, Dayanand Mandal took an impressive six wickets, while Aparajit Poudel claimed two, and Captain Ashok Dhami and Nites Kumar Patel took one wicket each.

Meanwhile, both Nepal and the UAE have already qualified to play in the U-19 Asia Cup, scheduled for December in the UAE.
